Son Ermità
Refined farmhouse retreat — earthy tones, antique family pieces alongside bespoke local craft, conspicuously quiet. No spa fanfare, no nightlife. This is the place for people who find silence genuinely restorative.
Book a table at Brisa's south-facing terrace for dinner — it catches the last golden light as the countryside falls away toward the coast
Why It Matters
One of only two new luxury properties to open on Menorca in 2025, and part of a family-owned Spanish heritage collection with an unusually rigorous restoration philosophy — no cement, all natural materials, stonemasons trained in ancient ashlar technique. The 800-hectare private estate gives access to 4.5 kilometres of coastline including five private calas, which is genuinely rare in the Balearics.
A hilltop 18th-century finca perched above the rugged north coast of Menorca, Vestige Son Ermità opened in June 2025 with just 11 rooms across the main house and sensitively converted outbuildings. White sandstone walls, original wooden beams, limewashed surfaces and bespoke island-crafted furnishings create an interior that feels honestly rooted rather than styled-for-Instagram. The property shares an 800-hectare estate with sister hotel Binidufà — a separate finca down in the valley — giving guests access to different dining, a second pool, and a broader landscape of olive groves, ancient orchards and coastal trails.
