Highlands
Midcentury-modern meets Blue Ridge outdoors. Earthy tones, natural materials, a lobby stocked with board games and complimentary tea, and a vibe that's design-forward without being precious about it. Think quiet hideaway, not resort.

Why It Matters
Won Boutique Design's Gold Key Award for Emerging Hotel Concept. Part of Marriott Bonvoy Outdoor Collection since December 2024, and one of the few hotels in the Highlands area with both a destination restaurant and an on-site Nordic spa. The Highlands Supper Club, housed in a log cabin built in 1924 by local carpenter Joe Webb, is genuinely worth a visit on its own.
A fully renovated 63-room mountain hotel on 4.5 wooded acres, just a short walk from downtown Highlands. The rooms lean midcentury-modern with cedar wood, Parachute robes, and cooler bags for day hikes. But the real reason people book is the outdoor Nordic spa and the on-site log cabin restaurant — both excellent.
