The Tribune Hotel Rome
Design-forward Dolce Vita boutique. Bold color palette — purples, blacks, gold — with contemporary Roman references throughout. The lobby impresses more than the rooms, which are compact but polished. The building is from 1980 (renovated 2021), so the vintage feel is manufactured, but it works.

Why It Matters
Part of Hyatt's JdV by Hyatt collection and redeemable as a Category 6 World of Hyatt property. The Terrazza Borghese rooftop restaurant and bar is a legitimate dining destination in its own right — locals book it too. Free minibars, Illy coffee in every room, and a location that puts you five minutes from the Spanish Steps without the tourist-trap pricing of properties on Via Condotti.
The Tribune sits on a quiet side street in Rome's Ludovisi district, two blocks from Via Veneto and within sight of the Aurelian Walls and Villa Borghese gardens. It's a 52-room boutique property built in 1980 and renovated in 2021, part of Hyatt's JdV collection, with interiors that lean hard into La Dolce Vita aesthetics — think deep plum walls, black-and-white marble floors, velvet yellow armchairs, and geometric headboards. The rooftop Terrazza Borghese is the real star: panoramic views over Villa Borghese, seasonal Italian cooking, and Bubbles Bar mixing cocktails in the north corner.
