The Time New York
Sleek, dark-walled boutique with a theatrical edge. Rockwell Group–designed interiors lean into moody sophistication — velvet lounge seating, Moroso chairs, wet-room slate bathrooms. It feels more creative-class than corporate.
Book directly through hyatt.com or the Hyatt app — the $35/night destination fee covers continental breakfast for two, Wi-Fi, wine and cheese hour, and 20% off F&B on property.
Why It Matters
Joined World of Hyatt in April 2023 after Hyatt's acquisition of Dream Hotel Group, making it one of the more affordable Hyatt options in Midtown Manhattan. Located literally next door to the Eugene O'Neill Theatre (Book of Mormon) and steps from the Ambassador Theatre (Chicago). The Penthouse Suite occupies three floors with a 500-sq-ft patio overlooking the Hudson River.
The Time New York is a 16-story, 193-room boutique hotel sandwiched between the Eugene O'Neill Theatre and the Ambassador Theatre right in the heart of NYC's Theater District. Designed from the ground up by the Rockwell Group, the interior plays with dark walls, dusky pastel textiles, brushed metals, and hardwood floors — all of it inspired by the energy of music, theater, and multimedia that defines this stretch of Midtown Manhattan. The vibe is adult, urban, and quietly theatrical: a hidden mezzanine lounge, a TV concealed behind a bedroom mirror, an Italian restaurant that doubles as a breakfast room.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
The hotel sits directly adjacent to the Eugene O'Neill Theatre (home to The Book of Mormon) and faces the Ambassador Theatre (home to Chicago The Musical — the longest-running musical in Broadway history). Concierge can assist with ticket recommendations and arrangements.
24-hour fitness center on the 4th floor. Compact but functional — treadmill, elliptical, benches, and free weights. Accessible with room key. Good enough for a quick workout but feels modest for a hotel of this size. TMPL next door is the better option.
Guests get daily complimentary access to TMPL Hell's Kitchen, a 40,000-square-foot fitness facility about two blocks from the hotel. It features a 25-yard saltwater pool, virtual spin studio, metabolic studio, boxing studio, juice bar, sauna, and an extensive array of group fitness classes. Far exceeds what the hotel's own small gym can offer.
Multiple event and meeting spaces including a Glass Pavilion and PDR Boardroom/Lounge. Capacity up to 270 people. Suitable for business meetings, private dinners, and social gatherings. Contact LGAJT-RFP@hyatt.com for event inquiries.
Complimentary wine and cheese reception held in the LeGrande Lounge daily from 5–6pm (Mon–Sat), hosted by the hotel management team. Consistently cited in reviews as a standout perk — a great way to meet fellow guests before a Broadway show.
