Why It Matters
AAA Four Diamond-rated property in Midtown Atlanta's arts district. Rebranded from the W Atlanta Midtown in 2022 with a complete design refresh. The hotel has an unusually detailed spa (with four-hands massages and couples treatment rooms), 45,500 sq ft of event space including a top-floor room with panoramic Atlanta views, and one of the more active hotel event programs in the city — live music, pop-up activations, and happy hours all run out of the Lantana lobby lounge.
Originally built in 1973 and formerly the W Atlanta Midtown, The Starling got a full identity overhaul in 2022 when it joined Hilton's Curio Collection. The design is deliberately maximalist — floral ceiling prints, jewel-toned velvet furniture, and brass bird cage chandeliers floating above the lobby. It's 26 floors of city views, a 5th-floor seasonal terrace pool, a solid spa open Thursday through Sunday, and a lobby lounge called Lantana that runs from breakfast all the way through late-night cocktails.
