Opened January 2024. Occupies the penthouse floors of Funchal's landmark Savoy Palace building. The GEPA concept — a personal assistant reachable 24/7 on WhatsApp who handles everything from spa bookings to Rolls-Royce airport transfers — is the centrepiece. Reserve guests also get full access to all Savoy Palace pools, bars, restaurants, and one of Europe's largest spas at no extra charge.
The Reserve is a hotel-within-a-hotel carved out of the top six floors of Savoy Palace — Madeira's most prominent waterfront tower. A private street-level entrance, a lobby elevator with an actual bench, and check-in on the 16th floor set the tone: this is a 40-room boutique that happens to sit inside a 350-room resort. Every room faces the ocean. The rooftop infinity pool on the 17th floor is fenced off exclusively for Reserve guests, so you never compete for a sun lounger. And a dedicated concierge — they call them Guest Experience Personal Assistants, or GEPAs — is yours around the clock via WhatsApp.
