It occupies a Grade II*-listed neoclassical building originally designed by William Wilkins in 1827 (the same architect behind the National Gallery), later used as St George's Hospital before being transformed into a hotel. After a full renovation completed in 2015 under interior designer Alberto Pinto, the 93 rooms and suites now blend Regency-era opulence — silk canopied beds, hand-painted ceilings, 24-carat gold leaf detailing — with Sony tablets that control lighting, curtains, and temperature.
