The Huntley is an 18-story tower on a quiet residential corner of Santa Monica, two blocks from the beach and one block from Third Street Promenade. It started life as a forgettable corporate hotel; now it's a design-forward boutique property going after the California luxury market with bleached oak furniture, Italian stone bathrooms, and a rooftop restaurant that's become a local destination in its own right. Here's the thing — the views are the star. Every single room looks out over either the Pacific Ocean or the Santa Monica cityscape, and on a clear day the panorama stretches from the Malibu Coast to Venice Beach to Hollywood. No pool, no balconies, rooms on the smaller side below the suites tier. But the location and those views are hard to argue with.
