Why It Matters

The Hoxton's only German outpost, planted in the upmarket west side of the city rather than the more expected east. The building is a 1970s nothing from outside; inside it's one of the more design-coherent hotel interiors in Berlin, with a food and drink offering that draws non-guests too.

The Hoxton's first German property — and the brand's 13th hotel globally — sits in a plain 1970s Charlottenburg block that gives nothing away from the street. Step inside and the lobby opens up into deep velvet sofas, a long communal work table, art-covered walls and the 1920s Art Nouveau-inspired Wintergarden bar behind it, complete with a tiled fireplace. The design nods hard to the neighbourhood's Golden Age past: scalloped headboards, dusty pinks and sage greens, terrazzo side tables and fluid geometric detailing throughout.

Where You'll Stay

8 room types available

Biggy
Deluxe King

Biggy

The top standard category. At 31 sqm this is one of the more genuinely spacious rooms in the building, with city views and a design-led bathroom. Some units include a sofa bed for a third guest. If you're splashing out, go here rather than a Roomy.

Biggy • Up
Deluxe King Superior

Biggy • Up

The biggest rooms in the building. Extra-large windows push more natural light into the space and the bathrooms are the most polished in the house. Some include sofa beds. Worth the small premium over a standard Biggy if light and space matter to you.

Cosy
Standard Queen

Cosy

The entry-level double. 19 sqm keeps things snug but the queen bed is proper size and the Art Nouveau-inspired design makes it feel larger than the number suggests. Soft pinks and greens, bouclé chairs, good lighting. Not the room to unpack into for a week, but perfectly fine for a long weekend.

Standard Queen with View

Cosy • Neighbourhood

Identical to the Cosy in size and design but with a street-facing neighbourhood view rather than an interior outlook. Good for people who like watching the world go by from bed.

Cosy • Twin
Standard Twin

Cosy • Twin

Same footprint as the Cosy double but with two single beds and dog-friendly designation. Nouveau-inspired armchairs and terrazzo wall tiles in the bathroom. The pick for friends travelling together who don't want to share a bed.

Roomy
Superior Queen

Roomy

The step up worth taking. At 23 sqm there's genuinely room to stretch out — a proper sitting area, more wardrobe space. Still the same Art Nouveau palette and scalloped headboard, but you're not bumping into the furniture. Good for couples who spend actual time in their room.

Superior Twin

Roomy • Twin

Two single beds in a slightly larger frame than the Cosy Twin. Great for friends or colleagues travelling together. The matching scalloped headboards side by side are a design highlight.

Shoebox
Standard Single

Shoebox

The smallest room in the house and designed for solo travellers. Compact but properly designed — velvet scalloped headboard, terrazzo side table, walk-in shower. It's cosy on purpose, not by accident. Good for one person doing a city break who plans to spend most of their time out.
