Harper Langham
Contemporary-industrial country house with an unstuffy, come-as-you-are attitude. More Scandi wellness than country-house pomp. Dog walkers and cocktail drinkers equally welcome.

Why It Matters
Named 1 Michelin Key in both 2024 and 2025, and won the Good Hotel Guide César Award for best hotel in East Anglia. One of very few genuinely contemporary luxury hotels on the North Norfolk coast, housed in the beautifully restored former Langham Glass factory. Every spa pool session is booked on an exclusive-use basis — a genuinely rare touch.
A 32-room boutique hotel built inside a converted flint-and-brick glassblowing factory in the quiet Norfolk village of Langham, a mile from the coast at Blakeney. Opened in 2021 by Sam Cutmore-Scott, it has a genuinely relaxed, no-stuffiness feel — think four-poster beds, Negronis pre-mixed in the fridge, and a Scandi-style spa you book by the private slot. The interiors nod to the building's industrial past with exposed red brick, copper, oak, and slate, balanced against primary-hued velvet couches and irreverent artwork.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The hotel partners with Bayfield Hall for clay pigeon shooting sessions — a classic Norfolk countryside pursuit, arrangeable through the hotel.
Complimentary bikes available for guests to explore the surrounding lanes, coast path and countryside. Pre-order a Harper Hamper picnic to take along for the ride.
Curated walking routes provided by the hotel, ranging from the mile-long coast path run to the sea to longer countryside trails. Maps and route cards available from reception. The staff are particularly good at tailoring recommendations to your pace.
Golf at nearby North Norfolk courses — the hotel can provide recommendations and directions. North Norfolk has several links-style courses within easy driving distance.
Guided open-water swimming and coastal exploration experiences arranged through the Coastal Exploration Company, featured in the hotel's 'Out & About' guide.
A private event and leisure space with a full-size pool table and a 120-inch screen. Available for movie screenings, private parties, or just an afternoon of pool. Can also be set up for yoga classes or private gatherings.
Exclusive-use 30-minute swimming pool slots. You book the entire stone-clad, naturally lit indoor pool to yourself — no lane sharing. Available daily 7am–10pm. Must be pre-booked via stay confirmation email.
The hotel can point guests toward seal-spotting boat trips from Morston Quay, just a short drive away, to Blakeney Point — home to one of Europe's largest grey seal colonies. Not run by the hotel directly but a core part of the Harper experience.
