Why It Matters
The only hotel ever granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Elizabeth II. The Dining Room earned its Michelin star in 2015 and retained it through a full redesign in 2024. The Goring has been running since 1910, when Otto Goring built it for Edwardian London's great and good — and four generations of the family have been at it ever since. It holds the distinction of being the last hotel built during King Edward's reign and the first in the world to feature en-suite bathrooms. The Royal Suite
The whole fifth floor. 151m² including a balcony overlooking the gardens. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sitting room, dining room, and guest cloakroom. The bedroom silk is the same as the first-class dining room of RMS Titanic. The bathroom silk matches Buckingham Palace's Throne Room. A life-size portrait of Queen Victoria hangs here. Forbes called it 'arguably the most glamorous accommodation option in England.' A personal footman greets you at the lift.
