A 5-star urban boutique hotel on Porto's grand Avenida dos Aliados, occupying two connected buildings — one facing the stately boulevard, the other backing onto the more local-feeling Rua do Almada. Design studio Ding Dong went full circus: black-and-white chevron floors, leopard-print carpet used as wallpaper, João Galrão sculptures that look like punched Playdough, and murals by Porto-based artist Sofia Torres covering the bar walls. It's bold and deliberate, not accidental. 68 rooms across 6 floors, a heated rooftop pool with giant rubber-duck inflatables, and a restaurant (Gio Party & Pasta) that flips into a nightclub at midnight.

The entry-level room. 18 m² with a queen-size bed and views over the hotel's inner courtyard. Compact but smartly fitted out — more than functional for a city stay where you're out most of the time. The courtyard view means it's noticeably quieter than Aliados-facing rooms, which is a real trade-off worth considering.

A step up from the Cozy in terms of space, still with a queen bed. Part of the hotel's core offering for couples or solo travellers. Rooms carry the Ding Dong design language: vintage-accented, patterned wallpapers, oxblood-painted window frames, velvet headboards, and the odd retro rotary phone.
