Book the Boat Builder or Artist rooms for the most dramatic Signature experience — split-level layouts, authentic sleeping alcoves and canal-facing bathtubs

Why It Matters

One of only 11 hotels in the Netherlands to receive a Michelin Key (October 2025). Ranked #1 hotel in Amsterdam on TripAdvisor. Each of the 14 rooms honors a different historic Dutch trade through genuinely bespoke, handcrafted interiors made from recycled antiques — not decorative props, but real objects reimagined.

A 14-room boutique hotel spread across three 17th-century canal houses on Amsterdam's Singel — the same buildings that housed Hotel Brouwer for exactly 100 years before the Zandbergen family took over. Every room is named for a historic Dutch trade, with furniture and fixtures built from upcycled antiques: airplane emergency exit doors as wardrobes, polished Rolls Royce turbine blades as reading lights, a vintage canoe suspended above a bathtub. The building is a national monument dating to 1652, and it earned a Michelin Key in October 2025.
