Why It Matters
One of London's most notable hotel openings of 2023. Houses LAVO (the London debut of Tao Hospitality Group's coastal Italian concept), The BoTree Bar, and 77 — a full underground cultural venue with state-of-the-art DJ and events infrastructure. The BoTree Suite on the top floor can interconnect with nine other rooms to take over an entire floor.
The BoTree opened in September 2023 on the corner of Marylebone Lane and Welbeck Street — an address that puts it a block from Bond Street tube and within easy strolling distance of Mayfair boutiques and Soho's restaurant scene. The hotel's guiding idea is 'Conscious Luxury': wild botanicals throughout the interiors, vegan Tencel sheets on the beds, Jo Loves amenities in the bathrooms, and a genuine effort to connect guests with the neighbourhood rather than insulate them from it. It joined Hilton's Curio Collection in December 2025.
