On the banks of the Peñol-Guatapé reservoir, roughly halfway between the two namesake towns, The Boato Hotel is a Michelin Guide-recognized eco-luxe property with just three private cabin accommodations — called 'lares'. Each one is built from weathered wood, glass, and metal, faces the water, and comes with its own jacuzzi deck and fire pit. The whole operation is grounded in a 'less is more' philosophy: calm, nature, good food, and a kayak.

Lar Bosque Deluxe
Also 36 square meters for two, but this one faces the native Guatapé forest rather than the open water. Same queen bed, private bathroom, jacuzzi, and fully equipped kitchen setup as the Lar Aqua Deluxe — just a greener, more forest-immersed perspective. Also has access to the waterfront tiki bar and dock.
