Why It Matters
One of the founding properties of Foster Supply Hospitality — the family-run group that helped put the Western Catskills back on the map. The Arnold House has been welcoming guests for over 100 years, from 1920s rooming-house days through the mid-century Catskill resort boom to its current renovated form. Rooms include complimentary breakfast, and the 80-acre grounds mean you're never short of space.
A century-old farmhouse inn sitting on 80 acres of forested land on Shandelee Mountain, just two hours north of NYC. Sixteen rooms spread across four buildings, a 50-year-old tavern with a jukebox and pool table, private hiking trails, and an outdoor pool added in 2024. The whole thing runs more like a lively house party than a hotel — expect communal breakfasts, spontaneous sing-alongs in the bar, and dogs running through the meadow.

Bobbie's Farmhouse
A fully renovated three-bedroom, three-bathroom standalone home across from the Main Inn. Rented as one unit. Fireplace, spacious private backyard, BBQ grill. Great for a family or group of friends who want their own space while still having access to all the inn's amenities.

Garden Studio
Second floor of the Garden House. Spacious king room with a comfortable sitting area and a private deck overlooking the meadows. Private en suite bathroom. Can be adjoined with the Garden Suite.
KingGarden Suite
In the tranquil Garden House. A split-level suite with a private sitting room, three bedrooms (one queen, one with two twin beds, one with a full bed), and a large shared bathroom with soaking tub. Perfect for families. Can be adjoined with the Garden Studio to expand the space.
Mixed (queen + twins + full)Ground Floor Garden Studio
Ground-floor room in the Garden House with a king bed, private sitting area, and private en suite bathroom. Good accessibility option and a bit more private than upstairs rooms.

The most spacious room on the property. Second floor of the Shandelee Post, overlooking the gardens. Private entrance, large office area, loft-style sitting room, king bed, and a master bathroom with both a soaking tub and walk-in shower. The pick of the crop for couples wanting extra room.
KingShandelee Post Studio
First floor of the Shandelee Post building, directly across the street from the Main Inn overlooking the gardens. Private entrance, king bed, and a master bathroom with walk-in shower. Nice separation from the main building bustle.
KingShandelee Post Suite
Two-bedroom, one-bath suite in the Shandelee Post. One king bedroom, one with two twins convertible to king. Shared bathroom with walk-in shower. Spacious living room with wood-burning stove. Private entrance and a semi-private porch with patio seating.
King + twin/king (convertible)Shandelee Skyview
A newly renovated mountain retreat on 7 level acres, a 30-second drive or short walk via trails from The Arnold House. Four bedrooms (including a bunk room), three bathrooms, two fireplaces, private fire pit, pool table, full kitchen, and sweeping mountain views. Available for winter and spring bookings. Guests access all Arnold House amenities.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The Willowemoc and Beaverkill rivers — both world-famous trout rivers — are just down the mountain. The hotel team can help arrange fly fishing itineraries and point guests to local shops like Morgan Outdoors in town. The property marks the start of fly fishing season each spring with a dedicated opening-weekend celebration.
Rent all 16 rooms and have the 'House' to yourself. Chef-curated group dinners and custom activity planning both on and off-site. Smaller exclusive-use options available for the Shandelee Post or Garden House. Contact sales@fostersupplyco.com.
80 acres of property with custom-built Blue and Red trail systems on Shandelee Mountain. Leash-free for dogs is the norm. Trail maps available at the front desk. Short walk via trails also connects to the off-site Shandelee Skyview property.
Poolside party every Thursday 5–8pm during pool season. Rum buckets, pizza, pool vibes, and Jersey Shore reruns. Open to non-guests dining at the pool.
Weekly summer event (through mid-October) open to the public. Food and drinks served poolside via the Tavern from 12–5pm. No room key or pool pass required. DJ music included.
Regular live music nights throughout the year including Wednesday evening performances by artists like BJ Hendrickson. Sing-alongs actively encouraged. Check the Happenings page for current schedule.
Outdoor pool added in spring 2024. Heated and open daily from 9am-7pm through mid-October. Hotel guests have priority access. Day passes available to non-guests at $35/adult, $20/children 6–12, free under 6.
Bonfire pit on property next to the barn. A classic Catskills-night activity. S'mores are something of a brand signature — Foster Supply's loyalty program is literally called 'S'more Perks'.

Fully renovated barn with Bluetooth speaker system used for events and overflow dining. Greenhouse stays 70°F+ year-round — a warm retreat in the winter months. Both open to guests.
