Why It Matters
Ranked #2 Resort in Mexico by Travel + Leisure in 2025, Michelin Guide listed, and home to ONDA — billed as the largest resort spa on Bahía de Banderas at 34,900 sq ft. The beach is genuinely exceptional, private and uncrowded, and the cultural programming (cacao ceremonies, zarandeado cooking classes, raicilla tastings) goes well beyond standard resort activities.
Susurros del Corazón translates to 'whispers of the heart,' and that name does a lot of work. The resort opened in November 2022 on a private stretch of El Banco beach — one of the best in Punta de Mita — framed by cliffside jungle on two sides and the turquoise Bahía de Banderas straight ahead. Auberge's approach here is genuinely surf-retreat-meets-luxury-resort: no stiff formality, lots of barefoot energy, rooms full of local artisan work, and a food program rooted in what nearby farmers and fishermen actually produce. With just 59 hotel rooms plus 30 private villas and casas, the property never feels overwhelmed.
