A 1929 Art Deco apartment tower on the Sunset Strip, designed by Leland A. Bryant and now one of the most recognizable buildings in West Hollywood. Hotelier Jeff Klein bought the property in 2004 and transformed it into the 81-room hotel it is today. The New York Times called it 'Hollywood's Grand Dame Hotel' — and the tag fits. Former residents include Howard Hughes, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor, and Bugsy Siegel. The rooms have been freshened with pale pink, cream, and brown tones, bespoke wallpaper by illustrator Donald Robertson, and limestone bathrooms. The building's bones are genuinely impressive: high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, and the kind of architectural detail you simply can't replicate.

Same 700 sq ft footprint as the Deluxe King Suite, but with two queen beds — making it the best option for friends traveling together or families who want genuine suite space. Large separate living area and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows.
Two QueensGrand Deluxe Suite
A step up from the Deluxe King. Upscale open-plan with a king bed, spacious separate living area, and the limestone bathrooms with open-legged vanity consoles and brass fittings that the hotel does so well. One of the best value suite options in the building.
KingPenthouse Suite
The top of the building and the top of the range. Wraparound planted terraces with views of the Hollywood Hills and downtown LA, a separate dining room, and a limestone bathroom with a deep soaking tub, stand-alone shower with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a daybed. This is the room Iggy Pop allegedly jumped from — into the pool below.
KingPremier King
Located on higher floors, so the views of the city and Hollywood Hills get noticeably better. King bed, expansive seating area, and a spacious bathroom. A step up in both space and position from the Superior Queen.
KingPremiere Suite
Upper-floor, one-bedroom suite with some of the best views in the building — downtown Los Angeles skyline from the bedroom. Comes with a spacious living room complete with dining area, and a limestone bathroom with a deep soaking tub and stand-alone shower. A proper suite for a proper stay.
KingStudio Suite
The first suite tier — and a noticeable jump in space. A separate living area, king bed, and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. Select rooms include limestone baths with open-legged vanity consoles and brass fittings, which are genuinely beautiful. A smart choice for a longer stay.
KingSuperior Queen
The entry-level room, but don't be put off — 350 sq ft in a 1929 Art Deco tower with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows feels very different from a standard hotel box. One queen bed, separate bathroom, and views over West Hollywood. Custom furnishings and Donald Robertson wallpaper in the bathroom.
QueenTownhouse Suite
The most architectural room in the hotel. A split-level apartment with 20-foot-high ceilings, a downstairs living and dining area with a powder room, one king bed upstairs, and outdoor terraces with sweeping views of Los Angeles to the south. It needs to be booked directly with the hotel — worth the call.

A 40-by-20-foot outdoor heated pool exclusively for registered hotel guests. Tranquil and carefully maintained, with sweeping views of downtown LA as a backdrop. Open sunrise to sunset, seven days a week. No unaccompanied minors. Poolside food and drink service from The Terrace.
The Terrace and other hotel spaces are available for private events with a separate entrance. The hotel has hosted film premieres and industry events over the years.
