Book morning AND afternoon game drives on the same day — the rhythm here is up at 5:30am, drive 6–10am, back for lunch, drive 2–6pm, campfire drinks and dinner. It's fast-paced and exhilarating.

SUJÁN Sher Bagh is the original SUJÁN camp, pitched on the family's private farm right on the boundary of Ranthambhore National Park. Founded in 2000 by Jaisal and Anjali Singh — a family of wildlife filmmakers with 50 years of roots in Ranthambhore — it's a 12-tent luxury camp done up in 1920s British Raj safari style: hand-stitched canvas, teak and rosewood campaign furniture, brass bathtubs, paraffin lanterns lighting the pathways at night. This is not a hotel that happens to be near a wildlife reserve; it's a conservation project that also happens to be one of the most comfortable places in India.

Tented 'Jungle' Suite
The ten standard tents, each a white canvas cocoon inspired by old-world Indian safari camps. Glass and canvas walls open onto a private veranda overlooking the jungle grasses. Inside: brass bathtub, open stone shower, plush carpets, soft linens, dark-wood teak and rosewood campaign furniture, writing desk, air conditioning, and 24-hour electricity. Intimate but not cramped — everything is purpose-built.

The 'Machhli' Suite
Named after Machhli, the famous tigress whose territory once included the Sher Bagh camp. Two adjacent tented suites — not interconnected — sheltered by a grove of trees the Singh family planted over decades, set within their own private walled garden. The best option for families or friends traveling together who want privacy from the rest of camp.

The Imperial 'Raj Bagh' Suite
The top address at Sher Bagh and arguably in all of Ranthambhore. Two double bedrooms tucked away in a private corner of camp. The large pool deck is the centrepiece — an expanse designed for doing absolutely nothing except watching the forest. Private chef, private jeep, and private tracker team are all part of the deal. Named after the Raj Bagh Palace ruins inside the park. Comes with outdoor spa treatment area and outdoor dining pergola.

The Royal 'Sher' Suite
Named after the King of the Jungle. One double-bedroom suite walled off from the rest of camp with serious privacy credentials. Comes with a private heated dip pool, an outdoor fireplace, a wooden deck, an open-air tree shower, and outdoor bathtub — the kind of setup that makes you not want to go on safari at all. Hot water bottle in the bed when you return each evening.

Over 300 species of birds recorded in and around Ranthambhore. SUJÁN provides guests with binoculars for the duration of their stay.
Morning and evening game drives in modified 4x4 jeeps with SUJÁN's own drivers and empanelled guides who collectively hold over 150 years of experience. Both shared and exclusive jeep options are available. Half-day and full-day drives also bookable. Wildlife includes tigers, leopards, sloth bears, hyenas, caracal, crocodiles, wild boar, antelope, and 300+ species of birds. Park fees and safari costs are excluded from the room rate.

Guided walk with a SUJÁN naturalist to Ranthambhore's 8th-century fortress — a UNESCO World Heritage Site rising from inside the national park. Contains Rajput and Sultanate palaces, mosques, and the famous Ganesha Temple. Views from the ramparts extend across forest and lakes; on a lucky day you might spot a tiger below.
Heated outdoor pool overlooking the park buffer zone — popular for mid-afternoon swims between the morning and evening game drives.
A short walk from camp to Dastkar Ranthambhore, a non-profit founded in 1989 that employs women from villages around the reserve in traditional handicrafts including block printing, quilts, clothing, and toys. Guests can watch the women at work and purchase directly. SUJÁN has been a long-term supporter of the organisation.
