Steenberg is the Cape's oldest farm — established in 1682 — and its manor house has been declared a Provincial Heritage Site. Today it's a 5-star hotel and spa set on 300 hectares in the Constantia Valley, with 24 rooms spread among restored heritage farm buildings, an 18-hole championship golf course, an award-winning winery producing standout Sauvignon Blanc, and two proper restaurants that draw non-guests from across Cape Town. It sits about 30 minutes from the city centre, which makes it genuinely peaceful — but not isolated.

Known for the rare 'bump and run' shot opportunity, strategically placed sand pits and waterways, and the 14th hole — whose green at 76 metres in length is the largest in Africa. Hotel guests receive preferential green fees and priority tee times. Includes driving range, chipping and putting practice areas, pro shop, and EOGA Golf Academy.
