Why It Matters
One of the few working wine resorts in Sardinia, sitting on its own Vermentino and Cabernet Franc vineyards. The restaurant La Ciminea has a serious wine cellar (900 labels), a chef with Michelin-starred kitchen experience, and it's open to non-guests. Four pool suites have private heated pools with hammams or saunas — rare at this price point in the region.
A 19th-century Gallura farmstead turned wine resort on a 32-hectare estate 2km outside Arzachena. Stone buildings, fragrant vineyards, and an agriturismo soul — but with the kind of personal attention you don't usually find at this scale. Owner Geraldina Giovannoni handpicked every piece of furniture herself, and it shows.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
Guided visits to the Giants' Tombs of Li Lolghi, the nuraghe La Prisgiona and Albucciu, and the megalithic necropolis near Arzachena — some sites are just minutes from the property.
Tailor-made tours of the Alta Gallura interior — ancient stazzi, oak groves, the Barbagia region, and the historic centers of La Maddalena and Caprera.
Organized sailboat excursions to the Maddalena Archipelago — hidden coves, crystal water, and island exploration. The resort can organize a 46-foot yacht charter.
Learn mixology from Aldo, the resort's barman and a genuine crowd favorite. He teaches how to prepare popular cocktails with a personal touch, in the outdoor bar setting.
Hands-on Sardinian cooking class with the resort's chef, focused on ancient family recipes and traditional ingredients. A popular add-on for guests wanting to take something home beyond a tan.
Personalized tasting sessions featuring the resort's own estate wines — Vermentino and Cabernet Franc — paired with local gastronomy. The wine resort identity makes this especially authentic.
Self-guided walks through the 32-hectare estate, through vineyards, olive groves, and native Sardinian scrub (myrtle, juniper, arbutus).
Horse riding through the countryside, especially at sunset, arranged through local centers in the area. Led by a professional instructor.
The resort concierge can arrange tee times at the Pevero Golf Club (~15km away), one of Sardinia's most prestigious 18-hole courses.
A bespoke private dinner prepared by La Ciminea's chef, served in complete privacy. Guests can specify preferences or let the chef surprise them. Available on request.
