Why It Matters
One of the oldest continuously operating coastal resorts in Maine, now in its 134th season. The historic main inn has rooms named after families who operated the property in the early 1900s. Inn – Admiral's Quarters by Seacraft
The crown jewel of the historic Inn, occupying two-thirds of the top floor. Salvaged brass light fixtures from retired vessels, refurbished vintage furniture. King bedroom opens to a private deck. Separate living room with pull-out sofa, breakfast nook, and dramatic harbor views. Best for anniversaries or small family gatherings.
Inn – Captain's Quarters
Second floor. Southwest corner of the historic Inn with ocean views from two sides. Calm blue decor. King bed with comfortable sitting areas. One of the most popular rooms in the Inn for couples wanting a classic experience.
KingInn – Room Four (Marston)
Named for the man who built the original Spruce Point Cottage as a private hunting retreat in the late 1800s. Most spacious room on the second floor. King bed plus sitting area with pull-out sofa. Premier ocean views.
KingInn – Room One (Druce)
Named for the family that operated Spruce Point for more than 30 years. Second floor, pale green walls framing sea and sky views. King bed with French doors to an open-air deck. Cozy pine-paneled bath. One of the most requested rooms for its combination of view and intimacy.
KingInn – Room Seven (Crow's Nest)
At the very peak of the Inn on the third floor, up a narrow staircase. Small but consistently one of the most popular rooms — the vast panoramic view more than compensates for the size. Queen bed. Described as feeling large to anyone accustomed to a yacht cabin.
QueenInn – Room Two (Holland)
Named for the Inn's original family operators who converted it from a hunting retreat. Possibly the best view of Burnt Island Lighthouse. Two queen beds, French doors to open-air deck, pine-paneled bath. Great for a group of four or a friend getaway.

Pelican Cottage by Seacraft
Charming woodland cottage with a peek of harbor from the front porch. Two bedrooms (Queen + twin configuration) and two full baths. Painted wood floors, fireplace, coastal artifacts including a vintage Boothbay Yacht Club burgee on the wall.
Starboard Cottage
Largest cottage on property — an original freestanding cottage converted from a private summer home. Four bedrooms, three baths. Southwest-facing water views toward Squirrel Island and Burnt Island Lighthouse. Natural Maine pine walls, hardwood floors, Maine antiques, brick fireplace. Two private entrances and two private porches.
Sunset Cottage
One-bedroom oceanfront cottage with a notable history — reportedly occupied by a Kennedy Administration official in the early 1960s. King bed, pine-paneled bath, rolled stone and granite fireplace, kitchenette. Front porch positioned perfectly for watching the sun go down over the water.
Tanager Cottage
Woodland-view three-bedroom cottage with two and a half baths. Two Queen beds and a twin configuration. Pull-out sofa in living room, rolled stone fireplace, and kitchenette. Two private porches and two entrances.
Woodland Townhouse – Three Bedroom
The most spacious standard accommodation on property. Contemporary three-bedroom townhouse with full kitchen, dining area, living room, vaulted ceilings, and sofa bed. Master bedroom with king, fireplace, and porch. Second and third bedrooms both have queen beds. Every bedroom has a private bath plus a half bath in the foyer.
Woodland Townhouse – Two Bedroom
Contemporary two-bedroom townhouse with vaulted ceilings, full kitchen, dining area, and living room. Master bedroom has a king bed, fireplace, and private porch. Second bedroom has a queen and its own bath. Half bath in foyer. Well-suited for couples traveling together or a small family.

Heated full-size pool adjacent to the Lighthouse Children's Camp and playground. A favorite for families and children's program activities.
Complimentary kayaks and paddleboards at the resort dock, available 9 AM–5 PM. No experience required. First-timers encouraged to take a tandem kayak for stability.
Saltwater-adjacent pool constructed in 1991, upgrading the original tidal pool from the 1930s. Teak furnishings and waterfront sporting amenities. One of the first stops guests make each season.
Classic motor launch Bright Line offers 1-hour Harbor Tours departing hourly from 9 AM–5 PM, weather permitting. Maximum 6 guests. Burnt Island Picnic Tour departs daily at noon, returns at 2 PM — runs through Labor Day weekend only. Sign up at the front desk.
Two-hour Day Sails, Sunset Cruises, and private charters aboard historic schooners Eastwind and Applejack through local partner Boothbay Sailing. Not included in resort fee — booked separately.

Two complimentary clay-surface Har-Tru tennis courts located adjacent to The Spa. Easier on the body than hard courts, 15 degrees cooler. Racquets and balls available at any time. Reserve a court at the front desk. Open mid-June through mid-October.
Complimentary bikes available near the forestside pool. The back roads of Spruce Point and the east side of the harbor offer excellent riding with harbor views. Short ride into downtown Boothbay for lunch.
Historic trails set in old-growth forest spanning over 40 acres of the resort's private 100-acre peninsula. Scenic and genuinely wild feeling for a managed resort property.
Classic arcade games, table tennis, shuffleboard, chess, and checkers. Plus an adjacent playground and outdoor lawn games including wiffle ball, badminton, croquet, horseshoes, and volleyball. Board games and puzzles available to take back to your room. In operation since the 1930s.
