Spruce Point Inn Resort and Spa
Classic New England coastal resort with genuine historic character. Nautical cottage decor — knotty pine wainscoting, local artist artwork, hardwood floors — modernized with 21st-century comforts. Skews family-friendly and multi-generational, but also popular for couples and reunions.
The Crow's Nest in the historic Inn is only 200 sq ft but has one of the best views on the Maine coast — book it for the panorama, not the square footage
Why It Matters
One of the oldest continuously operating coastal resorts in Maine, now in its 134th season. The historic main inn has rooms named after families who operated the property in the early 1900s. Notable past guests reportedly include the Kennedys, U.S. Senators, and astronaut John Glenn. The only resort in Boothbay Harbor on Peloton's official Hotel Finder.
A 134-year-old seasonal resort on a private 57-acre peninsula overlooking the entrance to Boothbay Harbor — and one of those properties that earns real repeat loyalty. The original wood-frame historic Inn still stands, flanked by modern lodges, freestanding cottages, and contemporary townhouses spread across mature spruce forest and manicured oceanfront. It's squarely New England coastal: Adirondack chairs, lobster rolls on the deck, s'mores by the fire pit, kayaks at the dock. Condé Nast Traveler named it a Top Resort in New England.
