Why It Matters

Listed in both the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels. The combination of a genuinely prime Duomo-adjacent location, architect-designed interiors (Angus Fiori / Francesca Attolini), and a connected restaurant that draws non-guests is rare at this scale. It has won Condé Nast Johansens Awards three consecutive years: 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Speronari Suites sits in a 19th-century palazzo just 200 meters from the Piazza del Duomo, but you'd never know it from the inside. Angus Fiori Architects and interior designer Francesca Attolini have stripped out any pretense of faded grandeur and replaced it with clean, warm contemporary design — oak hardwood floors, bronze finishes, pieces by Tom Dixon and Dedar. There are only 22 suites across eight categories, which keeps things feeling genuinely residential. And then there's El Porteño Gourmet downstairs: an Argentine bistro that Milanese locals actually queue for, which says a lot about the food.

Ken Scott Experience
Signature Suite

Ken Scott Experience

A room built around the creative legacy of George Kenneth Scott — the American-born artist who made Milan his base and rewrote fashion design with oversized florals and bold colour. Created in collaboration with Mantero and the Fondazione Ken Scott archive, designed by Studio Xtra. Features a Sanseverina headboard in floral print, handcrafted Carpet Edition rugs, trompe l'œil wallpapers by Inkiostro Bianco, and bespoke armchairs in original archive fabrics. The bathroom flips to black-and-white, exploring Scott's more geometric side. Located on the top floor (attic) with views of the Santa Maria at San Satiro church. Nespresso machine included.
