Italy's first Soho House occupies a 10-storey Modernist building in San Lorenzo — Rome's grittier, graffiti-splashed student quarter next to La Sapienza university, a world away from the tourist trail. The building was the first ever designed from scratch by Soho House's own in-house team, and it shows: tiered floors push most rooms onto private balconies, while a 360° rooftop pool crowns the whole thing with city-wide views. It opened in October 2021 and earned a Michelin Key.

The 10th-floor pool is tiled in cardinal carmine and ringed with olive-green sunloungers. Glazed barriers let you look out over the city as you swim. Open April to October, 8am to 7pm. Sunbeds must be pre-booked via the Soho House app. Highly social — expect more aperitivo lounging than serious swimming.
