Why It Matters
Soho House's only Paris address, and its only French property. Michelin Key awarded. Built inside the former Cocteau family home with an entirely commissioned painting collection. The Cabaret room — red velvet walls, silk ceiling, its own stage — is unlike anything else in the city. Non-members can access via Soho Friends membership.
Soho House Paris occupies a five-story 19th-century building in Pigalle that was once home to the family of Jean Cocteau — the French poet, artist, and filmmaker. The design pulls heavily from Cocteau's Cap Ferrat villa Santo Sospir: think mosaic-tiled entrance floors, murals by artist Roberto Ruspoli, and an all-paintings art collection (a first for Soho House). The result is something between an English country house and a Parisian Art Deco fantasy, with 36 bedrooms spread across the top three floors, a ground-floor members-only restaurant, a terrace plunge pool, and a cabaret room in the basement draped in red velvet and silk.

Third-floor attic rooms with murals directly inspired by Jean Cocteau — the building's original owner. These are the rooms that show up in every design article about the property. Low-beam ceilings and a queen bed. Worth the trade-off in space for the artistic detail.

The largest attic room type. A freestanding bath, a table and chairs, and the Cocteau murals that make the attic floor so distinctive. At 38 sq m it has proper space to breathe. These are the rooms to request for the full historic-meets-design experience.

On the third floor with rustic low-beam wooden ceilings — charming in a Parisian garret kind of way, though at 12 sq m it's the smallest room in the house. Double bed, shower-only bathroom. Not for the claustrophobic, but the atmosphere is real.

Third-floor attic with king bed, rustic low-beam ceilings, rattan furniture, and French terracotta flooring. The combination of materials gives these rooms a distinctly warm, textured character that the lower-floor standard rooms don't quite match.

Traditional Parisian fabrics and parquet flooring with an emperor bed and freestanding bath. Armchairs for reading or lounging. At 47 sq m, these are properly generous rooms by Paris standards — especially in a boutique property in SoPi.

The name says it all. 63 sq m of French boudoir design: original wooden wall panelling, working fireplaces, and a bathroom spacious enough to have its own seating area plus a freestanding bath. One of Paris' most distinctive hotel room designs at this price point. Can accommodate an extra bed.

The largest room in the house at 94 sq m. Separate living and sleeping areas, both finished in French boudoir style. Panelled walls, parquet floors, canopied emperor bed (convertible to twins on request), freestanding bath, sofa. Plenty of space for an extra bed. The full Cocteau-era grandeur fantasy.

How you'll actually spend your days.
An all-paintings collection of over 150 works — the first entirely painting-based collection in any Soho House globally. Pieces by Jules de Balincourt, Laure Prouvost, Natsuko Uchino, Emmanuel Van der Meule, and Mel O'Callaghan, among others. Displayed throughout the Winter Garden, Petit Salon, and pool terrace. Murals by Roberto Ruspoli are site-specific to the building.
The basement Cabaret Room hosts regular events: film screenings, live performances, game nights, and private parties. Red velvet walls, silk ceilings, a dedicated stage. Schedule posted on the Soho House app.
Expert-led classes run daily in the two movement studios. Book via the Soho House app under 'Spa and gym' > 'Soho House Paris'.
Terrace plunge pool above the inner courtyard, surrounded by deck chairs and day-beds. Open 7:30am to midnight. Children need a mini membership to use before 11am.
Two event spaces available to Soho House members: the Petit Salon (seated 14, between reception and Winter Garden) and the Cabaret Room (seated 55, standing 120). Suited to private dinners, screenings, and large gatherings.
