Redmond
Minimalist eco-wellness boutique. Think natural materials, muted palettes, sound machines, yoga mats in the peaceful rooms. The vibe is intentionally calm and community-forward — the kind of place with a library full of adventure books and a lobby record player.
Book The Rooftop in advance — it gets busy, especially summer weekends when it only opens Thursday through Saturday.
Why It Matters
The only hotel in downtown Redmond with a rooftop bar. EarthCheck Bronze certified. Holds a unique 'Fair Trade Pricing' policy where guests can determine what they pay at checkout based on the quality of their experience. Ranked #1 hotel in Redmond on TripAdvisor.
SCP stands for Soul Community Planet — and the whole place is built around that. This is the lovingly revived 1928 New Redmond Hotel, a four-story downtown landmark that SCP gutted and redesigned with warm woods, earth tones, and a genuinely eco-first sensibility. It's not a spa resort; there's no pool. But there are 48 rooms with plant-based foam mattresses, four distinct food and drink venues (including a rooftop bar with Cascade Range panoramas), a fitness studio, a meditation room, yoga partnerships, and coworking next door. For the high desert of Central Oregon, it punches well above its weight.
