Saranac Waterfront Lodge
Modern Adirondack lodge — outdoorsy, eco-conscious, and unpretentious. Natural materials, lake views from nearly every angle, fire pits outside, a sunlit solarium lounge inside. The vibe is active and relaxed in equal measure, attracting hikers, paddlers, skiers, and couples looking for a proper weekend escape.

Why It Matters
First LEED-certified lodging property in the Adirondack Park. Its restaurant, Lakeside Drift, is the only waterfront dining spot directly on Lake Flower — boats can pull up to the dedicated dock slips while you eat. The hotel also greets guests with chocolates from Plattsburgh's Lakeshore Candy, a small but genuinely local touch.
A four-story, 93-room waterfront hotel sitting right on the shore of Lake Flower in the heart of Saranac Lake village. This is the contemporary lakeside grand hotel that the Adirondacks needed — LEED Silver certified, with a private dock, one of the best waterfront restaurants in the region, and direct access to 38 miles of navigable waterways. The town is half a mile away on foot, Lake Placid is 10 minutes by car, and New York City is about a four-to-five hour drive. It replaced an older independent property that opened under the same address and has since joined IHG's voco collection.
