Why It Matters
Claims to be the largest wellness resort in the Netherlands with thermal water drawn from its own on-site fresh and saltwater sources. Has held the European Ecolabel since 2006 and is independently owned. Rated 8.2 on Booking.com. Swimwear is required every day — nudist-free zone, which sets it apart from some Dutch spa competitors.
Sanadome is a 4-star Superior hotel and full-scale wellness resort that opened in 1995 on the green edge of Nijmegen. The whole concept is built around the thermal baths — fed by the property's own fresh and saltwater sources — which hotel guests can walk to directly from their room. It's not just a hotel with a spa attached; the spa genuinely is the product, with 106 rooms, four restaurants, a fitness club, and over 50 treatments all under one roof.
