Probably the best Wat Arun view you can sleep in without crossing the river. The building's history as a prominent trading house, its position sandwiched between the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, and the sheer quality of the riverside rooftop bar make it one of the most location-efficient boutique stays in all of Bangkok.
A 15-room boutique hotel set inside a meticulously restored former trading house on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River. The Grand Palace is a 10-minute walk away, Wat Pho is 8 minutes, and Wat Arun stares right back at you from across the water. Rooms run a tight monochrome palette of black, white, warm wood, and exposed brick — the views do the decorating. No pool, no gym, no spa to speak of. But the rooftop bar at sunset with Wat Arun turning amber in front of you is hard to beat anywhere in Bangkok.
