Saffire Freycinet
Architecture-led wilderness luxury. Minimalist interiors using Tasmanian oak, stone, and leather. Contemporary and calm, with the landscape doing most of the heavy lifting. Not flashy — just very, very considered.

Why It Matters
Just 20 suites, fully all-inclusive (meals, beverages, most experiences), and widely regarded as Australia's most exclusive small lodge. Palate Restaurant is guests-only and changes its menu daily based on what's fresh off the boats or out of the paddock. The resort sits on a revegetated former caravan park, with 30,000 native plants now restored. Voted World's Best Boutique Hotel.
Saffire Freycinet is a 20-suite all-inclusive luxury lodge sitting at the gateway to Freycinet National Park on Tasmania's east coast. Its low, sweeping stingray-shaped roof — designed by Tasmanian architect Robert Morris Nunn — runs along the shoreline of Great Oyster Bay, with floor-to-ceiling glass trained on the pink granite Hazards mountains at every angle. Everything is included: all meals, beverages, and a roster of signature experiences from oyster-shucking in waders to beekeeping with the resident beekeeper.
