Ryad Dyor is a ten-room boutique riad in the northern Medina's Sidi Ben Slimane quarter — one of the quieter, more authentically Moroccan pockets of the old city. The property was born from the merging of three traditional riads, stitched together through interconnected courtyards and multi-level terraces to create a surprisingly spacious labyrinth. Interior designer Alberto Cortes worked with Ksar Living to blend Moroccan craftsmanship with eclectic global influences: Atlas Mountain rock-tile floors, hand-painted 5-metre cedar ceilings, zellige-clad bathrooms, European antiques, and Far Eastern accents all share the same walls.

Arab Superior Junior Suite
At 38 sqm on the second floor, this is the suite that lets the original architecture speak loudest. A traditional Moroccan cedar wood ceiling overhead, a proper fireplace flanked by two armchairs in the living room, and a sofa bed for a third guest. A balcony and communal garden access make it feel genuinely expansive for a Medina property.

Azro Deluxe Junior Suite
The most voluminous of the junior suites at 41 sqm. The high ceiling does real spatial work here, and a Moroccan chandelier hangs from it as the centrepiece. King-size bed, living area with sofa bed (third guest), and a desk. Comfortable enough that you'll have no guilt spending an afternoon in it instead of exploring the souks.

Basha Deluxe Suite
The flagship at 50 sqm, and the one that earns its status. Two separate en-suite bedrooms, both with wooden ceilings that soar to 5 metres and are hand-painted with decorations that trace back 300 years. Two sofa beds mean it can accommodate four guests without feeling crowded. A freestanding bathtub in one bathroom, fireplace in the living room, and interior patio views complete the picture. This is the room to book if the occasion warrants it.

Berber Superior Room
The entry-level room and still very charming. Sits on the second floor with views over the inner courtyards — palm-filled or pool-facing depending on which unit you get. At 18 sqm it's compact but well done: king-size bed, rich colourful Berber textiles, and a private bathroom with shower. Good for solo travellers or couples who plan to be out most of the day.

Ennafora Junior Suite
Named after the ornate multicoloured fountain (ennafora) that anchors the riad's main courtyard. At 28 sqm this is a minimalist Moorish-style suite with clean lines and a king-size bed. A sitting area, fireplace, and baby cot option make it flexible for both couples and families. Serene and beautifully proportioned.

Nour Deluxe Room
24 sqm facing the riad's signature mirrored courtyard. The floor is tiled with rock slabs sourced directly from the Atlas Mountains, which gives the room a grounded, elemental feel. The en-suite bathroom is lined in traditional Moroccan zellige. Also includes a fireplace for cooler evenings — a nice touch. Fits two comfortably.

Sabba Deluxe Room
One of the riad's more architecturally distinctive spaces — 26 sqm split across two levels, with part of the room cantilevered over one of the Medina's historic alleys below. A king bed plus a sofa bed for a third person. Named 'Sabba' after the riad's own innovative design gesture. Hand-embroidered fabrics and a small living area make it feel more generous than the square meterage suggests.
