Why It Matters

Sits directly across the Zambezi from Mana Pools National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Zimbabwe. Winner of Best Bush Lodge (Global) and Best Culinary Experience (Zambia) at the Haute Grandeur Awards 2024. The Royal Bush Spa has won the World Luxury Spa Award three years in a row. 100% solar-powered and plastic-free, with Platinum membership in Conservation Lower Zambezi.

Royal Zambezi Lodge is a privately owned, family-run safari lodge sitting on 200 hectares of the Chiawa Game Management Area, with 3.5km of uninterrupted Zambezi River frontage. Fifteen tented-under-thatch suites face the water directly — and elephants, hippos and buffalo regularly wander through. The lodge is the only 5-star property in the area open year-round, including the lush 'Secret Season' from November to March.
