Riva Lofts Florence
Industrial-chic minimalism with warmth. Concrete floors, stone vaults, vintage collectibles, modern art. Architect-designed and very deliberate — every object has been chosen. Intimate and residential rather than hotel-formal.

Why It Matters
One of the very few Florence hotels with a private garden pool. Designed entirely by architect Claudio Nardi, who literally lived here before converting it. Featured by Condé Nast Traveller, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue Australia, and The Telegraph. Ranked in the Michelin Guide hotel selection.
A 19th-century factory on the left bank of the Arno, Riva Lofts has lived three previous lives — industrial plant, artisan workshops, and then the personal atelier of architect Claudio Nardi — before becoming a ten-unit design boutique in 1999. Period stone walls and arched windows sit alongside concrete floors and modern glass-and-metal additions, while antique mirrors and 1950s chairs share space with sleek designer furniture and Malin+Goetz bathroom products. It's 2km from the Duomo, which is the whole point: you're here to decompress, not queue.
