Lodge guests on Mondays and Tuesdays can still get restaurant-prepared jars/meals — non-guests can't dine those nights

Why It Matters

A genuinely new concept in French rural hospitality: the estate combines a historically significant site (a listed Renaissance gate), thoughtfully designed eco-lodges insulated with local straw, a bistronomic restaurant committed to hyper-local sourcing, and a cultural programming calendar that brings in locals as much as overnight guests. The 42 hectares of forest, meadows, and pond are essentially part of the amenity offering.

Repère Sauvage is the project of two women — Caroline Costagliola Condy and Capucine Châtelier — who took a 19th-century hunting lodge sitting beside the listed Renaissance gate of Fort Girard (once César de Vendôme's stronghold) and turned it into something the French countryside was badly missing: a 42-hectare estate with a proper bistronomic restaurant, 16 manor rooms, 20 eco-designed forest lodges, a kids' club, a pond, a seasonal pool, and a mini farm. It opened in spring 2025 and is already drawing both Parisians (it's 40–45 minutes from Paris by TGV to Vendôme) and locals who come just for the restaurant. The vibe is nature-first but far from rough — think soft curves, natural color palettes, vintage finds, and La Bottega toiletries with a custom fragrance.
