Why It Matters
One of the few places in the Douro where you can sleep inside an active winery on the riverbank, meet the winemaker over a 90-minute tasting, and eat a greenhouse dinner under the stars. Received a Michelin Key in 2025.
A family-owned estate sitting right on the banks of the Douro River in the Baixo Corgo sub-region. The farmhouse building dates to 1756; the winery came along in 1912. After a full renovation in 2017, it reopened as a nine-room boutique hotel with a farm-to-table restaurant, an outdoor infinity pool, and a working winery. Modern interiors with earthy tones, clawfoot bathtubs, and slanted ceilings sit inside walls that have been standing for centuries. It earned a Michelin Key in 2025.

Located on the lower floor, this room offers a partial river view. Cozy and comfortable, it's the entry point into the property — still with all the standard in-room amenities.

King-sized bed, views of the train tracks and vineyard from the window. Not a river view room, but the vineyard vista and spacious layout deliver a proper wine-country feel.

Spacious room with a standout RECOR vintage clawfoot bathtub made in Portugal. No river view, but the bathtub makes it a strong pick for a romantic stay. Peaceful and quiet.

Located in an adjacent building, these two villas each have a private pool, large balcony, river views, and a freestanding bathtub. Maximum privacy. The balcony is big enough to spend most of the day on. Ideal for a honeymoon or anniversary stay.

A hands-on class led by the head chef using fresh produce from the estate's vegetable gardens. Focused on the property's farm-to-table philosophy.
The estate packs a picnic basket with food and wine and takes you to the private riverside dock or a scenic spot of your choosing. Reservation required.
No reservation needed. Available every day from 1–6pm. Three tiers: Estate (4 light-bodied wines, €20), Family (4 old-vineyard wines, €30), or Farmhouse (4 premium wines, €40). Prices are per person and non-shareable.
A 90-minute tasting session in the estate's tasting room with the winemaker. You sample 5 premium wines and hear the story behind each one. Runs Monday to Saturday at 11:30am.
The signature 3-hour deep dive. Taste 9 wines and get a guided tour of the entire production process — from the vineyard to the cellar. Intimate and genuinely educational. Monday to Saturday at 3:00pm.
Guests are invited to visit the estate's organic vegetable and herb garden. Crops follow the seasons — fig trees, apple, pear, and peach trees share the grounds with lavender and thyme.
