Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona is a 91-room boutique design hotel in a restored 1920s building sitting right at the edge of the Gothic Quarter and the Eixample, 250 meters from Plaça de Catalunya. Every room was designed by Barcelona's own Lázaro Rosa-Violán — warm woods, turquoise-tiled bathrooms, Nespresso machines, and signature bergamot-scented amenities. But the real draw is La Terraza: six floors up, over 100 live music nights a year from May through October, cocktails, and real city views. A family-run operation since 1967, now certified B Corp and Biosphere-certified, with sustainability woven into the whole thing — solar panels, local sourcing at the restaurant, zero-plastic initiatives.

Three rooms linked together around a 40 sqm shared terrace — the best option for a small group that wants private sleeping quarters but a communal outdoor space. Each room has its own entrance, then connects through large green windows onto the shared terrace with Mediterranean plants. A genuinely clever setup for a hen weekend or group of friends.

The Pulitzer Suite with Terrace
The flagship room. 45 sqm with a large private terrace and solarium — there's an outdoor shower among the greenery, two chaise longues, and a teak table. Inside: art pieces, a four-poster bed, oversized wardrobe space, and a separate bath. Pretty Hotels cites it at €450/night including breakfast. The most requested room in the house for good reason.

Over 100 live music sessions per year on the rooftop — local bands, DJs, acoustic performers, and special themed nights. Runs May through October. One of Barcelona's best free-to-attend rooftop music venues.
On winter weekends (October–April), the rooftop transforms into an afternoon social session with cocktails, Catalan tapas (patatas bravas, croquetas), blankets, music, and newspapers. Noon–4pm.
In-room romantic setup: artisan chocolate rocks, premium cava, breakfast in bed for two the next morning, and late checkout until 2pm included.
