A family-run boutique hotel on the steep green hillside above the village of Malfa, opened in 2017 by the Sicilian-international family of Silvana, Francesco, and daughter Anita. Fourteen sea-view rooms and suites, an infinity pool, and a geothermal jacuzzi fed by a sulfuric aquifer 80 metres underground. Dinners are cooked nightly by Silvana herself and served family-style at communal tables — think fresh-caught fish, island capers, and Malvasia wine while Stromboli smokes on the horizon.

At 60 sqm they're significantly larger than the standard rooms, with terracotta trimmings and calm neutral tones throughout. The 40 sqm sea-facing terrace is the big draw — it comes with a dining table, hammocks, and sun loungers, all pointed at the sea. Inside: a lounge area (extra bed available on request), king-size bedroom, and a bathroom with a rain shower and twin sinks. Note: it's an open-plan loft, so the bathroom has a glass wall with limited privacy division.

Reception can arrange boat excursions to neighbouring Aeolian Islands including Stromboli, Panarea, Lipari, Filicudi, and Alicudi. Options range from shared group tours to private charters. Stromboli night trips (to watch the volcanic eruptions from the sea) are a particular favourite.

The hotel keeps a fleet of electric scooters recharged by on-site solar panels. The ideal way to cover the island's coastal road and reach Pollara beach (filming location for Il Postino), Rinella, and the hillside villages. Reception can map out routes.

The outdoor infinity pool is the social centre of the property, elevated with views across the Aeolian Sea toward Stromboli and Panarea. Large comfortable pool loungers and day beds surround it. Pool bar is right alongside for cocktails and juices without leaving your sun bed.
The hotel coordinates arrival and departure logistics: shared minivan or private car from Catania airport to Milazzo port, plus hydrofoil bookings. Port-to-hotel taxi transfers cost €25 each way. The team manages all steps at no extra coordination fee.
