Parsley Salon is worth booking well in advance — it's a 12-course Nordic tasting menu and only open Wed–Sun evenings

Why It Matters

Michelin Key recipient (2025) with a Michelin-starred restaurant (Parsley Salon) on premises. Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The building's cinematic and ballroom heritage gives it a layered sense of place that most new-build hotels can't replicate.

Park Lane Copenhagen is a five-star boutique hotel in Hellerup — Copenhagen's affluent northern suburb, known locally as the 'Beverly Hills of Copenhagen.' The building dates to 1926, originally designed by architect Robert Hilliger as Strand Teatret, a local cinema where tickets cost the equivalent of ten cents. It later served as a ballroom and private members' club. The hotel opened in its current form in January 2025 following a full renovation, with interiors by Danish designer Camilla van den Tempel in a Scandi palette of beige, taupe, and sage. Original stucco ceilings, grand chandeliers, and rich wooden paneling were preserved. There's no pool, and the entry-level rooms run 17–19 m², which is cozy for the price point. But the three on-site restaurants — including one Michelin-starred — and the location beside Øregård Park and a short walk from the sea make the trade-off feel reasonable.
