Palazzo Albricci Peregrini
Pocket-sized palazzo. Ancient bones, contemporary edit. Think distressed walls, polished concrete, battered leather sofas, and a golden retriever named Noa who greets guests at the door. Feels like staying in a very stylish friend's centuries-old home — because that's essentially what it is.
Ask for the Privè wing if you want frescoed ceilings and Venetian marble floors; request the Suites wing if you prefer garden views and wooden beams
Why It Matters
Selected by Tablet Hotels and the MICHELIN Guide. One of the very few genuinely intimate luxury options inside the walled old town of Como — not on the lake itself, but a short walk from the water. The multi-course signature breakfast alone has developed an international following.
A family-owned 15th-century palazzo sitting inside Como's medieval walls, turned into a 10-room boutique hotel by the Galli family — an engineer, a lawyer, and two architect children who renovated it using reclaimed and locally sourced materials. Ten rooms split between two distinct wings: Palazzo Albricci Privè (frescoed ceilings, Venetian marble terrazzo floors, Jacuzzi baths) and Palazzo Albricci Suites (garden-facing, original wooden beams, cotto lombardo floors). Far less conspicuous than the grand lakeside palaces, and completely deliberate about it.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Complimentary bicycles available to borrow for exploring Como and the lake surroundings.
A nightly communal aperitivo from 6pm in the dining room — open to all guests. Antipasti served alongside the house cocktail list including signature Smoked Margaritas. One of the hotel's defining social rituals.
Hands-on cooking class in the palazzo kitchen with the in-house chef. Covers the full process from prep to finishing touches, and concludes with dinner. Duration: 3–4 hours.
Bespoke private dinners arranged with the hotel team. Guests choose the menu focus, and the in-house chefs execute it — focused on Italian regional flavours.
Guests can book a private excursion on the lake aboard a classic Riva boat, with itinerary planned directly with the captain. The Como port is a short walk from the palazzo.
A seaplane ride over Lake Como, bookable through the hotel. The hangar is close to the palazzo. One of the more theatrical ways to see the lake.
