One11 Hotel
Industrial-historic meets modern boutique. The design studio dash design (NYC) layered polished contemporary interiors over the raw industrial skeleton. Think backlit mirrors and Matouk linens alongside exposed brick and original wooden beams. The hotel calls its aesthetic 'New-Stalgic.' It works.
Book a Riverbend Sweet on the 8th floor for the best unobstructed river views and private terrace — it's the hotel's crown jewel room
Why It Matters
The first new hotel to open in the French Quarter in over 50 years — literally the only new build the Vieux Carré Commission approved in a generation. Set in a genuine 19th-century sugar mill with real industrial architecture, not decorative fakery. Rooftop terrace looks directly over the Mississippi River bend that gave the Crescent City its name.
ONE11 opened in December 2020 as the first new hotel allowed into the Vieux Carré district since the 1960s — a genuinely historic moment for a neighborhood that had been hotel-free for half a century. The building is a former Louisiana Sugar Refining Company warehouse, and the architects leaned into that hard: exposed brick, original 19th-century cypress beams, industrial ironwork, and high ceilings that give the 83-room property real bones. It sits at the quieter, river-facing edge of the French Quarter — close enough to Bourbon Street that you can walk there in two minutes, far enough that you won't hear it from your room.

ONE11 has partnered with One Canal Place Downtown Fitness Center, directly across the street, to provide exclusive free access for all guests. It's a proper health club — not a hotel gym closet. Access is included in the daily destination fee.
Year-round heated outdoor pool with lounge chairs, sun deck, and an outdoor firepit with lounge seating. On cooler evenings the firepit deck is a genuine draw — it's covered and functional even in New Orleans' brief winters. The Sugar Sweet has direct terrace access to the pool deck.
A rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the French Quarter and the Mississippi River. Outdoor seating, glass railings, and sunset views over the river bend. One of the better rooftop perches in the French Quarter.
The hotel offers private event spaces and full wedding packages, including the 'Sugar Sweets' event spaces. The Loading Dock at Batture and the pool deck are popular for private events and receptions in the French Quarter.
