One&Only Reethi Rah sits on one of the largest private islands in North Malé Atoll — 109 acres of manicured palm pathways, 12 white-sand beaches, and six kilometres of shoreline. It's an all-villa resort with over 100 detached villas either hovering over the lagoon or tucked into beach-side foliage, all designed by Jean-Michel Gathy. Eight restaurants, a Forbes Five-Star-rated spa, a PADI National Geographic dive centre, and a rock-climbing wall make it one of the most facility-heavy resorts in the Maldives. Fair warning: roughly 80% of the island is reclaimed land — stunning in photos, but the beaches lack the wild, untouched feel of fully natural Maldivian islands.
