Why It Matters
First Nobu hotel in Greece. Built into the cliffside of Imerovigli — billed as the 'balcony of the Aegean' — with arguably the most unobstructed caldera sunset views on the island. The combination of world-famous Japanese-Peruvian cuisine, intimate scale (25 rooms), and dramatic clifftop setting is unusual even by Santorini standards. Architecture handled by Elastic Architects, an award-winning Greek firm.
Greece's first Nobu property opened in 2022 as a sleek conversion of the former Omma Hotel on the cliffs of Imerovigli. Just 25 rooms — all suites and villas, not a standard room in the house — wrapped in traditional Cycladic whitewash with Japanese minimalist interiors. The bi-level infinity pool faces the caldera dead-on, and the signature Nobu Restaurant turns that view into a dining backdrop. Five bi-level villas suited for small groups or families (note: minimum guest age is 14). Each villa has two king bedrooms across two levels, a large indoor living area, luxurious bathrooms, private garden, and a private swimming pool with spacious outdoor lounge area. Important: villas face the Aegean sunrise side of the island — you get beautiful sea views but no caldera sunset views from your private space.
KingUmi Suite
First-floor suite with a spacious living area and king bed. The Umi Suite is the entry point for suites with a Jacuzzi terrace — the standout feature is the expansive private terrace with a Jacuzzi overlooking the caldera. Interior is cave-house minimalism: clean lines, a Simmons luxury mattress, one armchair. Note: the marketing calls this a suite, but the interior sitting area is modest — the real value is the terrace.
KingYuhi Suite
Split-level suite and arguably the most romantic single-room option. Ground floor holds a spacious living area and guest bathroom opening onto a private terrace with plunge pool and full caldera and Aegean views. Upstairs, a king bed and luxurious bathroom with water views. The two-level layout feels genuinely special.

The hotel sits directly on the famous hiking trail connecting Fira (Santorini's capital) and Oia. Nobu provides guests with trail information and can pack a picnic. The walk to Oia takes around 90 minutes and is challenging in parts but delivers some of the island's best views of the caldera cliffs and Aegean coves. The hotel is the last development before a long unpopulated stretch of trail.
Private yacht excursion around Santorini for two (five hours). Part of the Love Nobu romance package but can also be arranged as a standalone experience through the concierge. Includes welcome Prosecco on board. The island's volcanic coastline and sea caves are best seen from the water.
Resident DJ sets by the infinity pool Thursday through Sunday, 12pm–3pm and again 7:30pm–10:30pm. Low-key chilled beats, not a club atmosphere — just enough energy to set the mood during sunset cocktails. Non-intrusive enough that pool loungers on other days barely notice the difference.

Carved into the rock in Santorini's signature cave-dwelling style. Equipped with Technogym machines, free weights, and meditative equipment. A shaded outdoor canopy area adjacent to the gym also doubles as a yoga space and location for complimentary massages. Small but well-appointed.
Two connected pools at the heart of the property. The upper rectangular lap pool runs parallel to the street with full caldera views and direct sunset exposure — but hikers on the adjacent trail can see in. The lower square pool sits just behind it with a more private, sheltered feel. Both pools are seasonal (open April–October). Plush upholstered sunbeds with adjustable headrests throughout the deck.

No parking available at the property. The hotel is accessed via a narrow, partly unpaved road. Taxis are the practical transport option.
