Why It Matters
Only nine suites in a genuine 17th-century palace. The art collection alone is worth talking about — works by Anish Kapoor, Daniel Arsham, and Paul de Pignol (whose bespoke bronze-figured desk sits at reception). One of the most design-forward properties in Corsica, and at an altitude with views that reach the Bay of Saint-Florent.
A 17th-century Florentine-style nobleman's palace, locally known as Palazzu Serenu, converted into a genuinely sophisticated nine-suite boutique hotel on the slopes of hilltop village Oletta. Freshly rebranded in 2026 from Aethos Corsica to NOAE by Emerald Stay, the bones of the place haven't changed: white walls, contemporary art by Anish Kapoor and Daniel Arsham, and a 20-metre pool terrace with mountain-and-sea views that makes it very hard to leave. Interior designer Nathalie Battesti — who trained under Andrée Putman and Christian Liaigre — gave the whole place a clean, gallery-like quality that stops well short of cold.

The entry-level room, but 30 sqm is a generous starting point. Has a furnished private terrace overlooking the village and mountains — that alone justifies it. Contemporary style with neutral hues, dark-wood accents, and eye-catching artworks. Living area with sofas, small dining table, and workspace. Bathroom has a walk-in shower.

The Deluxe Room
Two extra square metres over the Classic, and the upgrade that counts is the view: this one faces the Bay of Florent. Hardwood flooring, neutral palette, original artworks, small seating area with two armchairs. Bathroom has either a bathtub or walk-in shower (worth requesting your preference at booking).

The Deluxe Suite
The first room with a proper separate sitting room — lots of sofa space for lounging. 50 sqm with village and mountain views. Bedroom has a queen bed, small seating area, and workspace. Bathroom offers a bathtub and over-bath shower. Can accommodate two adults plus one child under 12 (extra bed added to the sitting room on request).

The largest suite at 73 sqm and the only one that truly suits a family or group of four. Dual-aspect views: Bay of Florent from the bedroom, village and mountains from the living area. Large separate sitting room with a double sofa-bed (made up on request), tables, workspace, and shelving. Queen bed in the bedroom, bathroom with both walk-in shower and bathtub. Can sleep up to four.

A genuine suite at 40 sqm, with village and mountain views. Same clean contemporary look — hardwood floors, neutral hues, artworks — with a small seating area and the important upgrade of a bathtub. Guests who stayed under the previous Aethos branding reported that a suite at this size, with four large windows, is bathed in natural light.

Fishing trips can be arranged through the hotel in the waters around northern Corsica.
The hotel can organise guided or self-guided hiking in the hills around Oletta and the Nebbiu valley. The area offers a genuine mix of mountain and coastal scenery.
Horse riding excursions can be arranged through the hotel into the surrounding hills.

Hotel offers a shuttle service to the coastal town of Saint-Florent (about 10km away), giving access to beaches, the marina, and restaurants. Especially useful when the on-site restaurant is closed.
20-metre outdoor heated pool set high on the hillside with views across palms, mountains, and forested foothills down to the Bay of Florent. Tiered terraces with paired sun-beds on each level. Pool bar nearby for drinks. Open 9am to 9pm.
Windsurfing can be organised by the hotel, accessed via boat from Saint-Florent (approx 10km away). The best local beaches are only accessible by boat, making this a natural starting point for water activities.
