Rural Italian farmhouse meets considered luxury. Why It Matters
One of very few resorts in Salento where the farm credentials are real and traceable — the estate grows aloe vera, Negroamaro grapes, ancient Senatore Cappelli wheat, olives, pomegranates, and medicinal herbs, all feeding directly into the kitchen, the spa, and a certified organic cosmetics line. The Tower of the Stars, a restored grain silo with a 17th-century astronomical chart on the ceiling and a subterranean private spa carved from rock, is genuinely unlike anything else in Puglia.
An 18th-century Puglian masseria on 18-plus hectares of working organic farmland, sensitively restored into a 14-room luxury retreat. Every room is named after a plant grown on the estate — aloe vera, lavender, lemon, pomegranate — and the same ingredients power the spa treatments, the restaurant menu, and the N&B cosmetics line produced by the resort's B-Corp mother company. This is not a themed eco-resort: the fields are genuinely farmed, the aloe vera is actually harvested, and Martano was officially recognised as Italy's 'City of Aloe' in 2017 in part because of it.

Junior Suite – Courtyard (Dimore nella Corte)
Seven individual Junior Suites grouped around the farmyard courtyard, each named for a plant grown on the estate: Vino, Lavanda, Limone, Arancio, Rosmarino, Pepe Rosa, and Salvia. Rooms are painted in tones matching their namesake plant. Period furnishings, wrought-iron beds, hand-embroidered linen, terracotta or stone floors. All are on the ground floor with a private furnished outdoor terrace overlooking the estate. The Arancio room has a kitchenette area. Sleeps up to 3 with an added single bed in most units.

Junior Suite Deluxe Aloe – Borgo
The Aloe suite is the Deluxe-tier room in the Borgo category and is dedicated to the resort's signature plant. A bright master suite — this is a couple's room and does not accommodate a third guest. Decorated in cool aloe greens with premium finishes. Bathrooms stocked with house-made N&B organic cosmetics. Sleeps 2.
KingJunior Suite Superior – Borgo (Suite del Borgo)
Ulivo and Grano are the two Superior-category Junior Suites in the Borgo section of the hamlet. Larger and slightly more refined than the Courtyard rooms, with restored white-wood ceilings, private terraces, and views over the organic fields. Tabacco can be configured with two separate single beds — the only room on the property to offer this. Sleeps up to 3.
KingSuite Melograno – Borgo
One of two full Suites in the Borgo section, named after the pomegranate. The floor is decorated with a handcrafted mosaic inspired by the pomegranate plant — each tile placed by a local artisan. Spacious living areas with a retro-elegant design. Sleeps up to 4.

The Fico (fig) Suite Superior is one of the stand-out rooms in the Borgo. It has a winter garden carved directly into the rock — essentially a private stone-walled indoor garden space attached to the suite. Pleasantly retro architecture with careful attention to design detail. Sleeps up to 4.
KingTower of the Stars – Suite Executive with Private Spa
The property's flagship accommodation and one of the most distinctive rooms in Puglia. A former grain silo restored into a three-floor private suite for couples. The sleeping level at the top has a large round king-size bed beneath a hand-painted 17th-century astronomical chart — the constellations are lit and the effect, at night, is genuinely spectacular. A panoramic balcony looks out over the Naturalis estate. Below the suite, carved into the natural rock, is the Grotta Capelvenere — a private spa featuring a thermal pool with hydromassage and chromotherapy, a tepidarium with natural spring water and heated floor, and a sauna built into a rock recess. The cave walls are covered in ancient maidenhair fern preserved during renovation.

Self-guided or guided walks around the 18-hectare estate, through olive groves, aloe vera plantations, vineyards, and medicinal herb gardens. Complimentary for all guests.
Seasonal hands-on participation in grape, olive, and tobacco harvests alongside local farming families. Timing depends on the agricultural calendar.
Bike ride through the 20-hectare estate's cultivated fields and into the medieval town of Martano (City of Aloe). Complimentary traditional bicycles available for guests; electric bikes available for a charge.
