Mont-Blanc Megève
Vintage chic meets high Alpine couture. Think 1960s Paris dropped into the Alps — Jeanne Moreau portraits on the walls, leopard-print fabrics in the suites, snow-white spa rooms designed to look like igloos. Intimate and slightly theatrical. Roger Vadim filmed 'Dangerous Liaisons' here in 1960; Jean Cocteau called it 'the 21st arrondissement of Paris'. The Sibuet family has kept that energy alive without over-polishing it.

Why It Matters
Megève's most historic address and the hotel that put the village on the luxury map. Part of the Maisons & Hôtels Sibuet collection alongside Les Fermes de Marie and Lodge Park. Its Signature Suites are each designed as a tribute to a specific artist — Jean Cocteau, Sacha Distel, Roger Vadim. The Pure Altitude Spa (also a Sibuet creation) uses the family's own house cosmetics brand built around mountain plant extracts.
Opened in 1913 and taken over by the Sibuet family in 1992, the Hôtel Mont-Blanc is the original grande dame of Megève — on the Place du Clocher, right beside the church bell tower, one minute on foot from the Chamois gondola. It is a 4-star boutique hotel with 38 rooms and suites designed by Jocelyne Sibuet in a couture-meets-Alps aesthetic: tweed fabrics, Missoni prints, vintage ceramics from Vallauris, Jean Marais sculptures, and black-and-white portraits of the film stars and artists who once made this their Parisian pied-à-terre. The hotel runs seasonally, primarily December to March for winter, with limited summer opening.
