Monastik Living in Athina
Monastic minimalism meets contemporary Greek design. Dark palette of greys and warm woods, hand-curated artwork, individually decorated suites, collectible design objects. Quiet and intimate — the name literally means 'alone' in Greek.
Book any suite with 'Acropolis View' in the name — the rooms without that designation face the city or Filopappou hill, which are perfectly good but miss the main event
Why It Matters
Designed by a respected Athenian architectural duo and opened in 2024, Monastik offers some of the most direct, unobstructed Acropolis views you'll find in a boutique property. The signature floor-to-ceiling glass wall in each suite frames the Parthenon like a living painting. The top-tier Acropolis View Supreme Suite adds a private outdoor mini jetted pool on its terrace — facing the monument.
Opened in 2024, Monastik Living in Athina is an eleven-suite boutique hotel in the hillside Mets neighbourhood, designed by Athens-based architectural duo George Gavalas and Giannis Mourikis. The exterior is intentionally low-key — a dark-grey glass-fronted building that barely signals what's inside. Step through and the suites open up with floor-to-ceiling glass walls framing the Acropolis. No restaurant, no bar, no spa. That's the whole point.
