Miramar La Cigale Hotel Thalasso & Spa
Nautical resort chic — parasols, gleaming deck details, porthole-style windows, and rooms in tranquil nautical pastels. Think luxury wellness liner permanently moored, not boutique design hotel.
Request east-wing rooms for morning sun in summer; west-facing rooms can get very hot in July-August
Why It Matters
One of France's top thalassotherapy resorts, renowned for its distinctive cruise-ship architecture on the Rhuys peninsula and a comprehensive marine wellness program built around heated Atlantic seawater. The Parcours Marin, day rituals, and multi-day cure packages are all bookable without staying overnight.
Miramar La Cigale is a 5-star thalassotherapy resort built to look exactly like a cruise liner docked at the tip of the Rhuys peninsula in Southern Brittany. The ship-shaped facade is not just a gimmick — nearly every one of the 113 rooms and suites faces the ocean or the marine lake via private balcony. The real draw is the thalasso center, which pumps seawater from 300 metres offshore and ranks among France's most serious marine wellness destinations, offering multi-day cure programs alongside day rituals, a Parcours Marin, and a full spa.
