Desert Palm
Quiet, equestrian-chic boutique resort. The anti-Dubai in the best sense — no glitzy towers, no beach, just green polo fields, horses, and serious spa quiet. Wellness-focused with an almost rural feeling.
Book the destination dining experience early — personal chef, personal waiter, secret location on the estate. It's genuinely special and books up.
Why It Matters
One of Dubai's very few boutique resort experiences set entirely on a working polo estate. The scale is intimate — 39 keys — and the setting is genuinely different from anything in the city. Four championship polo fields on the doorstep, a respected Samana Spa, and private pool villas that start at 198m².
Meliá Desert Palm sits on a 160-acre private polo estate in Warsan 2, about 20km from central Dubai. It's a boutique resort — just 39 rooms, suites, and private pool villas — and the whole place is built around the equestrian world. Championship polo fields out front, a riding school with 70 horses, and an owner's private art collection dotted throughout. The design blends Latin American and Emirati influences, which sounds eclectic but works. Think mashrabiya screens on suite windows and Spanish-style bougainvillea-draped stables.
