Why It Matters
One of only 19 Design Hotels members in Germany and a Marriott Bonvoy affiliate. The building's 2020s renovation added a new sandstone façade, floor-to-ceiling promenade windows, and two entirely new floors. RECKOS restaurant has become a destination in its own right for Münster locals.
A slim, sharp boutique hotel on Münster's tree-lined promenade, less than 10 minutes' walk from the Domplatz. The 1958 building was fully overhauled by architecture firm Kresing and interior designers Lambs and Lions — the result is 50 rooms done in oiled oak-parquet floors, Westphalian limestone, and a warm, dark color palette, punctuated by works from local artists including photographer Berthold Socha. Downstairs, the lobby fireplace and Gubi & Fredericia pieces set a relaxed lounge tone; upstairs, rooms get progressively better until you hit the top-floor Panorama Suite with its 10-metre glass façade and city skyline views.

Between 22–25 sqm with balconies or terraces looking out over the promenade and old town. The minimalist design keeps things clean and calm. Souterrain rooms get a patio terrace and an optional extra sofa bed. Good value for the size and view combination.

City-facing rooms between 16–19 sqm, mostly on the 1st and 2nd floors. No promenade balcony here but all the same build quality — underfloor heating, Vispring beds, down duvets, and Nespresso. King-size or twin configuration.

The compact option at 14–15 sqm, but genuinely well-finished. Some have balconies with park-side views. A queen-size Vispring bed in a room this size feels like a generous upgrade. Good for solo business travellers who want design cred without the suite price tag.

The show-stopper. A 10-metre glass façade frames the Münster skyline — the city becomes a living canvas. Separate bedroom and living area make it equally suited to a romantic splurge or a private dinner party. The gas fireplace in the sitting area is a serious touch. There's also a steam sauna and guest WC. Connects via an adjoining door to a Prestige room if you need more space.

The larger city-facing option at 21–25 sqm. Same finishes as Komfort City but with more breathing room and connecting door options. A solid choice if promenade rooms are booked out.

At 28 sqm, these are the most spacious standard rooms in the house. Located on the 3rd and 4th floors with balconies facing the promenade. A plush sofa, rain shower, and king-size Vispring bed make this the go-to for anyone who wants proper comfort without going full suite. Twin configuration available for €20 extra. Can connect to the Panorama Suite.
