Masseria Longa Boutique Hotel
Contemporary-rustic luxury. White-washed walls and clean modern furnishings sit inside original 17th-century masseria architecture. Quiet, private, and very family-run — guests consistently mention Marisa and her team by name.
Book dinner the morning of or the day before — the kitchen prepares everything fresh from the vegetable garden and needs lead time
Why It Matters
A genuine working masseria estate turned small-scale luxury hotel, where every suite has its own private outdoor space. The restaurant uses zero-kilometre ingredients from the property's own vegetable garden, and dinner is by reservation only — the kitchen cooks what they grow. Tablet Hotels listed.
Masseria Longa is a centuries-old agricultural estate dating to 1696 that's been converted into a 7-suite boutique hotel in the Salento countryside outside Otranto. The bones are authentically Puglian — stone vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, thick hedges enclosing private gardens — but the interiors are crisp and contemporary. Every suite comes with serious wellness perks: private Turkish baths, Jacuzzis, or a heated private pool, depending on the category you book.
